Browser Messenger was developed out of a necessity to communicate, in real-time, with associates who did not
have access to stand alone instant messenging clients, or worked for companies who did not utilize these IM
clients and did not allow for the installation of unauthorized programs. There were also numerous occasions
whereby an IM client would not function behind a company firewall.
Without exception, Browser Messenger has been able to bridge these issues and provide the communications
necessary. To date, Browser Messenger has been successfully tested with the following browsers:

- Internet Explorer 5.5
- Firefox 2.0
- Firefox 1.0
- Opera 9.0
- Opera 8.5
